Location
Oamaru, the renowned blue penguin and yellow-eyed penguin sanctuary, is central to the South Island on the East Coast of New Zealand, 3 hours south of Christchurch and 1 hour 20 minutes North of Dunedin. From Oamaru you can drive easily to Mount Cook and enjoy Elephant Rocks and Clay Cliffs along the way.

From North SH1 (Christchurch and Timaru)
Go 3 blocks past New World Supermarket, at start of Oamaru town.
Take first right (Frome St) after Four Square and before Roberts park.

From South SH1 (Dunedin)
Take SH1/Thames St north for 1km through Oamaru.
Frome St is first left after Roberts park and
before the Four Square supermarket.

We offer guests free pick-up & drop-off on request. We are located in the North End behind Roberts Park and are viewable from the Thames Highway, across the road from the Post Office, Public Pay Phone, Chemist/Pharmacy and ATM Money Machine. We are a 5-minute drive into the centre of town or a 25-minute walk; taxis from the bus are about $8.00
